A sophisticated visual identity produced by Anagrama Studio for the tea brand Tesis.
Tesis is a Mexican tea brand under the curatorship of Sommelier Marcela Garza. Their blend of herbs and tea is deeply influenced by Japanese tradition and culture. Anagrama Studio was asked to develop a distinctive brand identity that reflects the values of quality and tradition. Their work is inspired by the subtle appearance of Japanese calligraphy. The brand proposal provides water and ink stains representing both the complexity and lightness of selected tea blends. These artworks are accompanied by diverse vertical typographic arrangements based on traditional Japanese reading. The whole design creates a harmonious balance between classic and modern typographic styles. Furthermore, Anagrama’s designers have created a logo in the form of an emblem symbolizing the Japanese wind chimes “Fuurin”. The rather restrained color scheme is inspired by natural tones with the addition of red color accents and gold foil effects.
