Graphic design and branding by studio Mildred & Duck for Souk, a new bar and restaurant.

Established by Sigiriya Brown and Daniel Smith, Mildred & Duck is a graphic design studio based in Melbourne, Australia. They specialize in a variety of creative fields including design for print, digital, and environmental media. The studio was recently commissioned to work on a brand identity for Souk, a new bar and restaurant serving a modern take on Middle Eastern food.

The new logo is a playful interpretation of the way Arabic is read from right to left. Furthermore, studio Mildred & Duck came up with a brand experience that combines modern minimalism and tradition. The menus feature imagery by Kate Ballis. Souk’s overall brand identity provides a memorable and characterful visual experience that compliments the bar’s spirit quite well. Just have a look below.
