Pastel-Colored Sports Fields and Architecture captured by Ward Roberts

“Courts”, a minimalist photo series by Ward Roberts of pastel-colored sports fields in seemingly deserted, urban environments.

Ward Roberts is a New York City based conceptual artist who creates composed photographs, which convey a sense of loneliness or isolation. The selected images in this article belong to his “Courts” series. In this series, Ward Roberts photographed some sports fields in urban environments. All places including sports fields and buildings seem completely deserted. The pastel colors provide a very minimalist and almost surreal atmosphere.
