Large-scale pictures of highly-pigmented chalk pastels and bronze sculptures by Swiss artist Nicolas Party on display at Xavier Hufkens gallery in Brussels, Belgium.
On display until July 15, 2017 – Three Seasons is Nicolas Party’s inaugural exhibition at the Brussels, Belgium based contemporary art gallery, Xavier Hufkens. The Swiss artist has executed two site-specific murals that create a singular environment for a series of large-scale pictures and bronze sculptures. Either directly on the walls or primed canvases, the Swiss artist has used exclusively a mix of highly-pigmented chalk pastels to achieve a lively visual experience with a fresh, graphic sensibility. With one eye on the past and the other on the current time, his artworks seem to trigger a sense of recognition or maybe some kind of déjà vu.
