Sandro Miller’s photo series with John Malkovich honors different photographic masters.
Already as a teenager, Sandro Miller wanted to become a photographer. Inspired by a variety of photographic master from the history, he improved his skills as a photographer over the years. These days, Sandro Miller is one of the top advertising photographers worldwide. His clients include names such as Forbes, GQ, Esquire, American Express, Coca-Cola, BMW, etc.
Besides his commercial projects, he still works on different personal projects. While working on a job for the Steppenwolf Theater, he first met John Malkovich in the late 1990s. The series Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters is the result of their latest collaboration. Sandro wanted to do a project honoring these photographic masters, which inspired him to become a professional photographer.
Sandro Miller says: “John is the most brilliant, prolific person I know. His genius is unparalleled. I can suggest a mood or an idea and within moments, he literally morphs into the character right in front of my eyes. He is so trusting of my work and our process… I’m truly blessed to have him as my friend and collaborator.”
