‘Allegories of the Held’, a solo exhibition of works by artist Jennifer Caviola aka CAKE at The Untitled Space, NYC.
Thanks to the friendly people of The Untitled Space gallery in New York City for sending me an invitation to the exclusive opening show of their forthcoming exhibit, ‘Allegories of the Held’ featuring works by Jennifer Caviola aka CAKE. Unfortunately I can not make it to the show, because I am currently in Europe. The opening on July 14 is by invitation only, but the exhibition from July 15 – 23 is open to the public and I highly recommend you to go there.
The exhibition will be presented in collaboration with The Untitled Magazine as part of their ‘Women in Art series’. Jennifer Caviola is known as one of the most popular female street artists. Her recognizable artworks of figurative women portraits have been shown in numerous international galleries or publications. Artist CAKE works mostly with acrylics on paper and wood or directly on walls around the cities.
The ‘Allegories of the Held’ exhibition presents a selection of works from Jennifer Caviola’s “The Bride”, “Mit Blumen” and “Feast of Shamen” series, as well as different artworks that have never been exhibited before.
As already mentioned, the public solo exhibition takes place from July 15 – 23 at The Untitled Space, 45 Lispenard St. Unit 1W NYC 10013. For additional information, please check out here.
