Human Error, an ironic photo series by Victoria Siemer.
Victoria Siemer (aka Witchoria) is a graphic designer who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She works mainly in the digital realm, creating surreal photo manipulations that reflect her penchant for ennui as well as our existential crisis and broken hearts.
Human Error is the name of an ongoing series that has been started back in 2014. Using a range of self-portraits as well as other images of different surroundings, Victoria Siemer confronts the different stages of heartbreaks with the pragmatism known from Apple’s notifications, reports, and options. With a healthy dose of humor, cynicism and irony, Victoria Siemer depicts emotional states such as sorrow, pain, self-doubt, revelation, hopelessness or the loss of confidence. Below you can see a few excerpts from the series. Each image is based on a stylish Polaroid look. You can find more of Victoria Siemer’s creative work here.
