A house designed in the game of “hide and seek” in Lamego.

Surrounded by the picturesque landscape of Lamego, Portugal and designed by renowned architect António Ildefonso, the house was built against the driveway with a volume that slightly turns its back on anyone who arrives. The aim of the architectural concept is to carefully protect the view of the surrounding landscape, in this position. Read more below the following image.

Even before entering the house, guests are completely prevented from seeing the surroundings. Only the main entrance with a small porch is located at the back of the house. When looking outside from inside facing the terrace, guests feel like they’ve arrived and they want to stay.

The garage and support spaces are situated at the lower floor while a staircase connects to the entrance of the kitchen. On the upper floor of the house, the different living spaces are accommodated symmetrically starting from the living room. They are all facing the expansive terrace. All of these areas are open to the sun, to the porch, to the terrace, and to the beautiful landscape.
