Hinterland, a series of landscapes captured by German photographer Kilian Schönberger.
Hinterland is the German word for backcountry. It’s commonly used for the rural regions of Germany’s periphery. These areas are Kilian Schönberger‘s second home during his work on most of his photographic projects.
The Cologne based photographer likes to capture unexpected motifs, which he finds along the track while travelling through the countryside. Especially the German countryside is characterized by the mixture between cultivated land and some remains of wilderness.
