The Display versions have been designed to show off Helvetica’s subtlety in headlines while the Text versions were made for perfect legibility, using clean strokes and comfortably loose spaces. Because of its compactness and closed apertures, Helvetica often struggled a little in the past to be legible at tiny sizes. This has been fixed by the new Micro sizes in order to address this issue. These simplified characters masterfully maintain the impression of Helvetica in extra small sizes. The extensive set of alternate characters allows designers to experiment with different tones of voice. Please have a look at the following images or click on the following link to learn more.
