Based in Los Angeles, California, Kati Forner Design is a full-service creative studio specializing in a wide range of graphic design and branding projects. The studio was recently commissioned to create a new brand identity for Bloom Berkeley, an addition of condominiums to a vibrant, diverse, and growing community.   1. This is gorgeous work. Exciting, cohesive, well-thought-out, a pleasure to look at. Except that until I read the introductory paragraph — twice — I had no idea what this brand was for.

    Boutique agency? Visionary business consulting firm? Hipster maker of something so of-the-moment that if you don’t already know who or what Bloom Berkeley is, you don’t need to know? When I saw the kitchen I had other guesses. Interior design? High-end supplier of home building materials? Retail store? Real estate was far, far down my list of possibilities.

    It’s too bad, because this work is otherwise perfect. A little intrigue in advertising is a good thing. Too much loses people.
