From The New World – Collage by Yang Yongliang

From The New World, an extremely detailed digital photo collage by Chinese artist Yang Yongliang.

Yang Yongliang was born in Shanghai in 1980. Quite early he was interested in traditional painting, calligraphy, and various art forms. After a period of studies at Shanghai Arts & Crafts Vocational College, Visual Communication Department and the China Fine Art Academy Institute, Visual Communication Department in Shanghai Branch, he founded his own studio with friends. During this time he began to experiment with different contemporary art techniques such as ink painting, photography, video installations, and much more.

His artwork “From The New World” is an extremely detailed digital photo collage. It’s Yang Yongliang’s largest artwork until now. The entire artwork measures 800 x 400 cm and is produced as an Epson Ultragiclee print on high-quality fine art paper.

From The New World shows a possible future of an overpopulated world. Countless photographic details were well arranged by Yang Yongliang to one huge collage. The pictures below include a view of the complete digital collage as well as different detail views.
