A bold brand identity developed by graphic design studio Demande Spéciale for Enclume.
Demande Spéciale is a Canadian graphic design studio specializing in full-service branding projects for a variety of clients. The following work for the cooperative and territorial development studio named ‘Enclume’ is a fine example of the studio’s outstanding abilities. After an extensive briefing with the clients, Maude Turgeon and Guillaume Lavallée of graphic design studio Demande Spéciale were assigned to review the entire brand identity and website of Enclume. Please read more below.
Their goal was to create something fresh and new, which moves away from the old, kind of drab identity. The brand name “Enclume”, which is the French word for an anvil, became the inspiration for the new key visual. The geometric shape has been used in the graphic system to create a bold layout based on a simple grid. A wide range of colors gives the design a fun touch while keeping the expression of a professional and relevant brand. The new brand system is kind of both simple and clean as well as bold and colorful. It’s a design solution that can be adapted to different needs and all personalities within the cooperative.
