Have a look at this brand identity developed by graphic design studio Futura for Lakanna, a carpentry workshop that implements Japanese manufacturing concepts.
Based in Mexico City, Lakanna is a carpentry workshop that implements Japanese manufacturing concepts by assembling furniture with modular pieces without the use of nails or screws to hold up. Graphic design studio Futura was commissioned to create a brand identity that seeks to communicate the same principle of modularity through the concept of “Modulor”, a system for measuring the human scale created by Le Corbusier from the golden ratio. With this in mind, they designed a uniform grid system of spaces that allow playing with the editorial. The graphic design concept also refers to the brutalist architecture in the logo and certain elements.
