Eyes on the abstract work of French artist Jean-Baptiste Besançon.

Born in 1985, Jean-Baptiste Besançon is a French artist who lives and works in Bordeaux. Mostly self-taught, he loves to combine various techniques and surfaces. His artworks could be seen in numerous exhibitions mostly in and around Bordeaux. In collaboration with the Bernard Magrez Cultural Institute, he also participated in the 2016 edition of Bordeaux Fête le Vin for the creation of an artistic cube in the Jardin des Arts. Jean-Baptiste Besançon is well known for his abstract style combining technicity and freedom. Driven by the nature of an impulse, a movement, a flow, his aim is to propose a delicate and subtle style.

Jean-Baptiste’s inspiration comes from artists such as Jackson Pollock and Pierre Soulages. The young artist is in a constant search for a pictorial balance and a confrontation with himself. A fine selection of paintings can be found below. For more, please visit his website.
