Clare Rojas was born in 1976 in Columbus, Ohio. She currently lives and works as an internationally renowned artist in San Francisco, California. Clare Rojas studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Art Institute of Chicago, where she received her MFA. As a multidisciplinary artist, she expresses herself through painting, installations, and video productions. You can find more information below the first image.
In her recent body of work, Clare Rojas has focused on pure geometric shapes. Utilizing vivid colors and simple geometric forms, the artist produces abstract compositions with oil on canvas. Her paintings are inspired by a variety of arts, media or architectural trends such as West Coast modernism, Native American textiles, Byzantine mosaics, modern Graphic Design, and many others. In her previous work, she dealt with a more figurative style. Clare Rojas explored the traditional or subordinate roles of women without sexual exploitation.
