Explore fragmented streets and buildings of a surreal version of the city of Zurich.
Created by using several 3D scans of roads and buildings, artist and designer Dirk Koy has produced an interactive video that takes you on a trip through a surreal city of Zurich in Switzerland. While floating freely through a fragmented environment, viewers can make a dreamlike experience in 360°. I don’t need to mention that you will have the best visual experience using a virtual reality system like VR headsets that completely immerse you inside virtual worlds. With music by Niki Reiser, viewers are drawn into a dreamlike trip, while visually exploring shapes that solidify and liquify seamlessly until everything dissolves in abstraction.
Zurich 2.0 was made by Dirk Koy on behalf of the Zurich Film Foundation for the Zurich Film Award, Cadrage. After numerous shows, the work is currently on screen at an exhibition organized by Art Center Nabi.
