Transat font family, a geometric sans serif typeface from Typetanic Fonts with caps inspired by Art Deco signage.

Gregory Shutters, a New York City based type designer and founder of foundry Typetanic Fonts has created the Transat typeface in 2013. It’s a geometric sans serif with caps inspired by Art Deco signage.

The family is equipped with five weights plus matching obliques as well as a range of OpenType features such as ligatures (ff,ft,fft), small capitals, case sensitive forms, stylistic alternates, arbitrary fractions, and a full complement of proportional, tabular, and oldstyle figures. Its extensive character set supports multiple languages. The typeface is intended for the use in eye-catching headlines, titles, and short text sections. In addition, Gregory Shutters developed a more rational text-friendly companion font called: “Transat Text“. Both families can be combined seamlessly.
