Branding and packaging developed by Socio Design for STÓR, an Irish menswear subscription service.
The creative people of London based agency Socio Design seem to be quite busy these days. Just a few days ago I wrote about their recent work for lifestyle blog, Rambling Muse. Here comes another fine example of Socio Design’s creative work. They recently completed this branding and packaging project for STÓR, an Irish menswear subscription service offering a range of selected clothes for today’s generation of style-conscious men. The brand mainly specializes in staple menswear products such as underwear, socks, and t-shirts. All of the products are made from sustainable materials like bamboo and organic cotton fabrics. STÓR is an old Gaelic word which means “a store of treasure.” Read more below.
Socio Design was asked to help with an identity concept that reflects the brand’s principles regarding style, functionality, comfort, and last but not least environmental awareness. STÓR’s desire is to turn back to a simpler way of living. This ‘simpler way of living’ was the basic essence of the brand development. In addition the existing logotype, Socio Design has created some branding materials as well as a packaging range for STÓR’s products. They decided to use unbleached recycled card boxes for the subscription packs. Furthermore, they have created a typographic system along with a set of icons to illustrate diverse features such as technical properties and benefits of the sustainable materials. The labels are designed in three different colors to highlight the three subscription levels. The mailer bag has been printed with the graphic of a bamboo plant to illustrate sustainability of both packaging and clothing. Get further information on this project on the Socio Design website.
