Querido Tulum – Identity Deveopment by Futura

“Querido Tulum” – Art Direction, Branding, and Graphic Design by studio Futura.

Mexican branding and design studio Futura was asked to help with a fresh visual identity for a residential development located in the city of Tulum, Quintana Roo. Their naming proposal “Querido Tulum”, which means “Dear Tulum” is based on the idea of writing a letter or postcard – exactly the way we do when being on vacation. This epistolary style served as the basic concept for the entire brand and communication design. Read more about the branding project below the first image.

The brand idea behind Querido Tulum.

Tulum is a city that offers an exceptional quality of life praised by both settlers and visitors. It’s a place to come down, forget the time and simply enjoy life to the fullest. You just have to be there and you will feel immediately the relaxed lifestyle of the city.

The general brand identity is a homage to the city and its easy-going lifestyle. Studio Futura has created a brand experience, which refers to the moment when residents write a letter or postcard to friends and relatives who live somewhere else and in this case, it’s like sending greetings from paradise.
