Brand development and packaging design by studio TRÜF for cannabis extracts company, LOQL.
LOQL specialize in organic, solvent-free, locally grown medicinal products fully based on cannabis extracts. Their products are used to relieve pain and inflammation as well as better sleep and mood elevation. Studio TRÜF was commissioned to work on a suitable brand identity including packaging.
The bold logo depicts the Hamsa, an ancient hand symbol used for protection and health. Custom gradients were created to help set a certain mood for each type of CBD:THC ratio. They are meant to evoke a feeling rather than a specific direction. The benefits and psychoactivity vary from ratio to ratio. Studio TRÜF designed a series of simple, color-coded brochures to quickly instruct consumers on safe, optimal dosing. The liquid dropper from the mark has been used as a simple motif in the dosing infographic. Furthermore, they developed a playful, secondary system of illustrations for use on swag like clothing, stickers, totes and shopping bags. The artworks are based on elements from the main logo mixed with other mystical symbolism to evoke the sense of “protection”.
