Hay Market – Restaurant Brand Identity by Foreign Policy

A restaurant brand identity by Foreign Policy for Hay Market.

There it is, another successful identity project by Foreign Policy, a Singapore based design group specializing in branding and graphic design. The experienced team was tasked to develop a suitable brand identity for Hay Market, a first class restaurant located in the sprawling grounds of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

The club has its origin in the time of the British colonial period. With this in mind, the creative team of Foreign Policy came up with a restaurant brand identity that reflects a Britischen way of life along with traditional elements of equitation and the charm of old horse tracks. The complete project included the creation of a branding strategy as well as the development of different graphics for the entire communication design, restaurant interior and uniforms for the staff. Hay Market’s visual language is characterized by bold geometric shapes in combination with British vintage typography and Victorian illustrations from old advertisements.
