Fogo Island Inn.
Some of our daily readers may remember our post about the Tower Studio in Shoal Bay, Newfoundland designed by Saunders Architecture. The Fogo Island Inn is another great architecture project accomplished by the studio. This five star hotel is also situated in this harsh and natural Canadian landscape. Fogo Island Inn includes a restaurant, a lobby, a library, a small movie theatre, and an independent art gallery on the ground floor, 4 floors of rooms above the ground level. A sauna and spa facility is placed on the top of the building. The wooden architecture is consistent with the beautiful nature as well as the economic and cultural survival of Fogo Island.
