“In this crystalline form everything is made of the multitude – the splendors of Versailles, the rearing stallion and other distractions or ambitions. A curious history restlessly shifting, its charged particles and reflections dissolving into a universal something. Its mystical alignment ordered by instinct or impulse where themes emerge through incoherent leaps and the vague impressions of something more about to appear or having just faded.”

The Coral Reef LED Floor Light by Taiwan-based lighting company QisDesign, winner of the 2011 red dot design award. The collection includes a floor light and a table lamp.

The jurors rationale: “The design of the “Coral Reef LED Floor Light” lighting merges an innovative use of LED technology with an organic language of form, a combination that fascinated the jury. This lamp offers a high degree of user-oriented inspiring functionality.
