British artist David Hockney returns to Tate Britain in 2017.
It’s quite some time away, but this good news is worth to talk about as early as possible. Renowned London based museum, Tate Britain recently announced that David Hockney will return to the museum from February 9 – May 29, 2017 for his most comprehensive exhibition yet.
Without any doubt, David Hockney is definitely one of Britain’s most popular and influential contemporary artists. His new show in 2007 will feature an exceptional selection of some of his most famous artworks including diverse paintings and drawings as well as prints, numerous photographs and videos from six decades. The show at Tate Britain will explore David Hockney’s very own approach of “picture making”. Some of the shown drawings, paintings, and photographs have never be seen before in public. The body of work ranges from his early portraits of Los Angeles swimming pools up to drawings and photography of Yorkshire landscapes and most recent paintings. The variety of work from 6 decades shows Hockney’s changing styles and his use of new artistic techniques.
