The individual Conto Slab font family.

In order to equip his Conto family with the greatest diversity, typeface designer Nils Thomsen has created the Conto Slab font family in 2014. It’s a slab serif companion to the sans serif Conto typeface.

Conto Slab is an individual and well-balanced slab serif font. The complete family is equipped with eight weights plus matching Italic versions. Nils Thomsen says about his latest offspring: “It is mainly designed for corporate identity along with the editorial design and advertising. A special set of ligatures make the fonts very useful for logo type and lettering.”

The thin and black versions are mainly intended for the use as display fonts, while the regular, medium, and bold versions are a great choice for any kind of text use. The extraordinary italics are a mixture of real italics and slanted shapes. Some ligatures are specially made for logotypes and stylish lettering. Conto Slab includes around 100 discretionary ligatures such as ‘cl’, ‘en’, ‘rx’, ‘sty’, and many more. Each font contains around 850 glyphs, numerous OpenType features and supports all latin-script based languages.
