The Atletico font family, a slab serif type family from Stereotypes.
German art director and graphic designer Lukas Bischoff of studio Artill teamed up with Sascha Timplan of foundry Stereotypes to produce the Atletico font family. The typeface was designed and published in 2014. It’s a dominant slab serif display font inspired by good old American sports letterings and titles. The complete type family consists of 6 weights ranging from Thin to Bold. Atletico’s sturdy look is characterized by well-balanced shapes and sharp edges. The family is equipped with different OpenType features and an extended character set to support multiple languages.
The Atletico font family works very well for a variety of display titling and striking letterings. This slab serif typeface gives headlines a distinctive and dominant appearance.
