Another Thought, a series of abstract paintings by Australian artist Caroline Walls.

Born in 1984, Caroline Walls is an Australian artist with a background as graphic designer and art director. After living in both cities London and New York City, Caroline Walls decided to go back to Australia. Today she lives and works in Melbourne where she primarily focuses on her artistic career. She’s working on a variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, and even printmaking.

Today I want to show you a selection of abstract paintings from her ‘Another Thought’ series. Just like most of Walls’ artworks, the paintings are based on fluid aesthetics with a strong inspiration from the female form. The artist says: “I am inspired by everyday human experiences and the fluidity and movement of the human body. These artworks explore the female body and the reduction of its form as a way of heightening its expressive power.”

  1. I feel like a lot of people don’t get abstract art. I tried to show these to my friends and they were not thrilled even a bit. I think that these paintings allow your imagination to go free and open up your creativity. Great post!
